Beijing will begin partially reopening parks and shopping centres in areas that have not been affected by Covid-19 starting on May 29, 2022. Since a partial lockdown was introduced in the Chinese capital in early May, a riverside park in Beijing has been one of the few places to remain open, with many residents coming to Liangmahe Park for fresh air amid the Covid restrictions. But recent efforts by authorities to discourage crowds from gathering at the park have sparked complaints.
