Underwater #excavation and extraction of cultural #relics found in a #shipwreck off the coast of east China's #Fujian Province begins on Thursday. The shipwreck was discovered in 2014 by a team from the Fujian Provincial Museum in waters off #Shengbeiyu (meaning "holy #grail islet" in Chinese). The application of new material will ensure the safety of fragile #artifacts when excavating from the water.
