Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino says the government has “questions” about Myles Sanderson’s death in RCMP custody shortly after his arrest Wednesday.

The hunt for Sanderson came to an end at about 3:30 p.m. local time near Rosthern, a town north of Saskatoon, where he was arrested alive.

Just hours later, police confirmed Sanderson was pronounced dead in hospital.

Tom Vernon details how the RCMP took Sanderson into custody and the independent investigation into how did that impact his death.
