Police say "primary suspect" detained in killing of 4 Muslim men in Albuquerque, New Mexico | LIVE

Albuquerque, New Mexico police are expected to provide an update on Tuesday after Chief Harold Medina tweeted that the "primary suspect" in the killings of four Muslim men had been detained.

"We tracked down the vehicle believed to be involved in a recent murder of a Muslim man in Albuquerque," Medina tweeted. "The driver was detained and he is our primary suspect for the murders."

According to reports, a father and two sons were detained and questioned as part of the investigation into the murders which have shaken not only the city's Muslim community, but those beyond New Mexico. It is not known at this time if one of the three men detained was the primary suspect.

The killings took place between November 2021 and August 2022, with the latest three occurring in the span of two weeks. All of the victims were of South Asian descent.
