Trudeau faces new opposition leader Poilievre in question period for 1st time | LIVE

CA, 22 Sep 2022
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is set to take questions from newly-minted Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre for the first time on Thursday, following his return from the United Nations General Assembly this past week.

Poilievre has sat in Canada's House of Commons for question period this week without the prime minister in attendence, hammering the Liberals for their recently-announced affordability plan, saying gas and home heating costs would rise.

Thursday's question period also comes amid reports the government is looking at dropping the COVID-19 vaccine mandates at the border and making the controversial ArriveCAN app optional — both of which Poilievre staunchly opposes and were a part of his leadership campaign.
