A rare roll cloud was spotted above an area of the sea off Yantai City in east China's Shandong Province on June 13. A roll cloud is a rare type of arcus cloud with low, horizontal, tube-shaped formations that is typically associated with thunderstorms. It forms when the downdraft from an advancing storm causes moist warm air to rise, cooling it below its dew point. #shorts
