The House of Representatives Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on Capitol Hill by former president Donald Trump's supporters, will hold its fourth public hearing on Tuesday.

During the session, lawmakers are expected to hear from state officials that upheld Trump's election defeat, including Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensberger, his chief operating officer Gabriel Sterling and Arizona House Speaker Rusty Bowers. Each faced pressure from Trump and his allies to overturn Biden's victories in those states, but consistently defended the states' handling of the 2020 election.

Another witness will be a Georgia election worker who, along with her mother, say they've faced severe public harassment from Trump allies.

Following a yearlong probe and more than 1,000 interviews, throughout the duration of the hearings the committee has shown clips not only from the violent attack on the Capitol, but also from its own closed-door interviews with Trump aides and associates who were trying to dissuade him from spreading falsehoods about the election he lost.

After the hearings, the committee says its investigation will continue and panel members will eventually have to decide whether they have found criminal activity and if so, whether they should refer it to the Justice Department. The department, which is conducting its own investigation, could take or leave the recommendation.
