Trudeau speaks during visit to Kigali, Rwanda | LIVE

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will hold a media availability on Thursday morning in Kigali, Rwanda for meetings with Commonwealth leaders, the first such meetings since 2018.

Earlier in the day, Trudeau visited the Kigali Genocide Memorial, which commemorates the victims of the 1994 Rwandan genocide and where the remains of more than 250,000 people are interred.

Trudeau also held a bilateral meeting with Rwandan President Paul Kagame and later in day will attend a state banquet hosted by Kagame.

Trudeau's 10-day international trip will also take him to Germany for the 67 Summit and to Madrid for a NATO summit.
