Egypt hit once more by rise in petrol prices • FRANCE 24 English

The effects of the war in Ukraine are rippling out to other continents - Egypt as elsewhere in Africa has been hit by hikes in the price of fuel. Egyptians are already struggling with an inflation rate of over 13% and a 20% drop in the value of the currency. But Petrol is still heavily subsidised by Cairo. Our team on the ground report.
