Russia strikes Odesa port hours after signing landmark grain deal
Telegraph, 23 Jul 2022
Vladimir Putin is "spitting in the face" of the UN by firing missiles at the Black Sea port of Odesa the day after the Kremlin signed a deal to allow grain exports, Ukrainian officials have said.
Reports from Odesa said that air raid sirens had been sounding since mid-morning and that two missiles had hit the port area and caused a fire, where most of Ukraine's grain was expected to be exported from.
"The enemy attacked the Odesa sea trade port with Kalibr cruise missiles," the Operational Command South wrote on its Telegram social media channel.
